Burnley driving school, Belvedere School of Motoring, have been helping local people like you to pass their driving test for more than 40 years. There are many types of learner driver; from the novice to the partly trained and confident people to those who are a little more cautious, we know we have the expertise and experience for you.

We are a family run driving school, providing you the option of manual and automatic driving tuition. Driving Test Success is an online resource to help you improve your learning of the rules of the road, and other motoring matters including the Highway Code to enable you to pass the Theory and Hazard Perception Test first time. This service is free to our customers.

The cars we use for driving lessons in Burnley are a manual Nissan Micra and an automatic Nissan Micra. Both cars are very easy to drive because they have a fully adjustable driver's seat to give you a comfortable and relaxed driving position, combined with good vision all round, good pedal position, light steering and good brakes.

Welcome to Belvedere School of Motoring, an independent family-run driving school serving the local community for over forty years working with drivers aged between 17 (16 if in receipt of higher rate Disability Living Allowance) to well over 70! Belevedere School of Motoring was founded in 1970 by Rose Spencer and the business is now run by her son, Kenneth.
More than 1000 people have been helped to pass their test since the business began including driving instructors as well as pupils.
Kenneth specialises in teaching mature students who prefer driving automatic cars as well as students who have been unsuccessful in the past at passing their driving tests with other instructors.

A set of 50 questions, which you have to score 43 or more to obtain a certificate so you can then take the practical driving test.
You can get a form from the Post Office, which you send off along with 2 passport type photographs to the address on the back of the form.
It normally takes up to 3 weeks to come back to you.
If you have a new passport with a chip you can apply online and they will use your digital photo from the passport for your driving licence.
There is a range of driving lessons and courses to suit your current needs, from an assessment lesson, a refresher course, one week quick start module, a confidence booster, automatic familiarisation lesson, parking master class or a block of lessons to get you ready for the driving test or Pass Plus once you have passed.
This is the usual place for most learner drivers to begin, when you pass your driving test in a manual car or van you are then able to drive any vehicle manual or automatic with no restrictions in the same category.
The Theory Test has two parts to it; first, a set of multiple choice questions and then, a set of video clips for the Hazard Perception Test element.
The theory test consists of 50 multiple choice questions which you need to score 43 or above to pass.
The test is conducted on a touch screen computer and you have 57 minutes to answer all the questions.
