Alexander School of Motoring has been established since 1979. Our driving school was started by our proprietor Mr. Mick Alexander who is proud to boast a successful 30 years of professional driving tuition to the 17 to 70 year old public of Gravesend and surrounding areas. We are one of the longest serving independent driving schools in the area.

Choosing the right instructor for your course of lessons is most important; Please do not simply phone around for the cheapest quote.
Don't be fooled by silly gimmicks such as 'first lesson free' etc, you only get what you pay for.
Ask your friends and family who they learnt with and follow up their recommendations.
If you are paying someone to teach you to drive, they must be approved and registered with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA).
In order to prove their credibility they must display a GREEN coloured certificate on the windscreen of the car while teaching you.

Alexander School of Motoring are proud to introduce Mr Terry Calcutt who is one of our fully qualified DSA driving instructors, teaching manual and automatic tuition within our local and surrounding areas.
Terry has taken it upon himself to attend college and learn the skill to sign Terry has achieved BSL level 1 standard and is currently training for BSL Level 2. Terry is fully competent to sign to in-car standard and would be pleased to offer his expertise to the hearing, hard of hearing and deaf people within our community.

Our driving school is highly reputable due to the high standard of professional structured driving tuition offered to all our pupils from our fully qualified DSA approved pass plus driving instructors (we do not use trainee instructors).
We work strongly alongside guidelines and regulations set out from the Driving Standards Agency who governs the present day driving test, along with the rules of the Highway Code and Traffic Act.
