The main reason I chose Independent Driving School was because I found them by using Google for the top driving schools in Bournemouth as I was new to the area. I liked the look of the independent driving school so I went with them for my lessons whilst I was at university. Which I'm so glad I did as I was able to pass first time, my instructor Darren (who I highly recommend) was amazing and helped me to become more confident with hill starts and driving on dual carriageways.
The advice I would offer someone learning to drive or thinking of taking their driving test is make sure you are comfortable with the car and the instructor as it will make the learning experience more enjoyable. There is also no rush to take your test but when you do make sure you trust your own driving skills and are comfortable on the road. The main reason I chose Independent Driving School was because I did a search of local driving schools, and Independent Driving was one of the first to come up, with a well laid out website and easy navigation.
I called and explained that I was looking for someone who was patient and good with anxious students and was put in touch with Karen.
After I had gotten past learning the control of the car, learning to drive with Karen was a much less frightening experience than I had anticipated.
Karen never got angry, always spoke respectfully and gently and never made me feel silly for anything that I got wrong.
