Stanley Common Driving School was established in 2001. Since then it has been successfully teaching learner drivers in Ilkeston and surrounding areas including Heanor, Kimberley, Eastwood, Langley Mill, West Hallam and Oakwood. 62% of all practical driving tests taken with Stanley Common Driving School in the last 3 years (2018,2019 and 2020) have resulted in passes.

At Stanley Common Driving School learners progress at their own pace in a series of interlinked steps.
On a quiet residential estate you will be introduced to the car controls and learn how to move off and stop the car safely.
Further skills may be introduced if there is time.
For the next few hours you will be introduced to further basic skills so you will safely learn to control the car on quiet residential estates and sometimes depending where you live quiet country roads.
As you advance the skills you learn become more advanced and the routes you drive on become more complicated as your confidence grows.

Providing the learner has passed the theory test and gives me plenty of notice 4 to 6 hours tuition per day can be given in the days running into a test.
There are no set hours for the intensive course (some learners may have already some driving experience).
I will assess the learner well before the course and give them a realistic estimate of the total cost.
