Services
I have been a qualified DVSA approved driving instructor since 2006 teaching manual lessons.
I get a great deal of job satisfaction from teaching people to drive, whether it is a complete novice or a qualified driver having refresher lessons.
To be able to help people learn a new skill that can offer, independence and job opportunities is very rewarding.
When I'm not teaching I enjoy going to the gym, fishing and spending time with my family.
I use a Peugeot 208 for manual lessons and cover the following areas, Colchester, Eight Ash Green, Rowhedge, Marks Tey, Wivenhoe, Alresford, Elmstead.
If you do not have a current full or provisional license you can obtain one from www.dvla.gov.uk or by completing the D1 form from your local post office.
You must be able to read a car number plate from 20 metres if you need glasses or contact lenses to read the number plate, that is fine.
If you would like more details on cost of lessons then please contact either our Colchester or Romford instructors.
Before commencing with an intensive driving course you will need to take a 2 hour assessment lesson.
2. Tell me where you'd find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked.
Manufacturer's guide, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don't forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps.
3. Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.
The head restraint should be adjusted so the rigid part of the head restraint is at least as high as the eye or top of the ears, and as close to the back of the head as is comfortable.
From my first lesson, to passing my test, Tim has been professional, encouraging and supportive.
I can 100% say I will recommend Monarch to any friends/family who need a driving instructor in the future.
Tim was my instructor, now I consider him a pal, a really friendly guy who wants you to achieve your best.
I couldn't thank Tim enough for getting 3 of my children through their driving and all 3 passing 1st time.
He's an amazing instructor.
Highly recommended and will sure be using him for my next 3 children.
