Services
Sarah would like to welcome you to Drivewell Driving Academy.
We are a local Cardiff Driving School formed in 2012.
I have been teaching learner drivers in the Cardiff area for over 20 years.
I am a Grade A Driving Instructor, have an exceptional pass rate and, have received some fantastic feedback from my pupils.
I am passionate about teaching "safe driving for life".
You will be driving a modern VW Polo car with dual controls to help keep everyone safe.
Driving is "a skill for life" and I strive at Drivewell Driving Academy to teach you the highest standard of driving to prepare you for "safe driving for life", not just pass a test.
As a photo is required for your licence the DVLA can use your passport photo if you have one.
If you don't have one, or you want to use a different one, this will need to be sent to the DVLA separately.
You can find costs for all licence types here.
Before you start the hazard perception part of the test, you'll be shown a short video clip about how it works before being shown a series of video clips on a computer screen.
The clips feature everyday road scenes and contain at least one developing hazard - but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards.
Unfortuantely, statistics show that new drivers of any age are more likely to have a collission within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career.
While this is really just down to a lack of experience insurance premiums merely reflect the increased risk.
Your initial driver training should provide you with a varied range of road and traffic conditions, however, this training often takes place on familiar roads around Cardiff or other areas we cover, as there are time constraints and lesson objectives to consider.
On your first lesson, you will need to print and produce your licence information.
Use this link to get the appropriate information required by your instructor for your first lesson.

Road Respect is about making the roads safer in North East England.
We're seeking to continue to change the culture on the roads and foster respect for the law, other road users, conditions and yourself as a road user.
Sarah is one of the few ADIs who has achieved additional qualifications including the PGCE and BA(Hons) in Education and Training.
There are several differences when teaching learner drivers to training and coaching qualified drivers to become Driving Instructors.
These qualifications have helped Sarah to understand and successfully motivate adult learners through the Instructor training course and beyond, to become successful Driving Instructors.
Sarah has trained and coached hundreds of ADIs from start to finish as well as helping and advising PDIs and ADIs from other schools.
