The main reason I chose Independent Driving School was because I found them by using Google for the top driving schools in Bournemouth as I was new to the area. I liked the look of the independent driving school so I went with them for my lessons whilst I was at university. Which I'm so glad I did as I was able to pass first time, my instructor Darren (who I highly recommend) was amazing and helped me to become more confident with hill starts and driving on dual carriageways.
The advice I would offer someone learning to drive or thinking of taking their driving test is make sure you are comfortable with the car and the instructor as it will make the learning experience more enjoyable. There is also no rush to take your test but when you do make sure you trust your own driving skills and are comfortable on the road. Karen never got angry, always spoke respectfully and gently and never made me feel silly for anything that I got wrong.

I passed my test back in March after lessons with Neil from the independent driving school.
Having had 3 previous driving instructors, Neil was always so calm and helpful, he taught me more than any of my past instructors had and gave me the confidence I needed to pass my test. As someone with anxiety I would 100% recommend learning with Neil and Independent driving school!

I have just passed my automatic driving test first time with Hamish from independent driving school. I was very nervous when I started and had put off driving for years as I’d had bad experiences with other driving schools. Hamish was very calm and made everything simple and didn’t over complicate things like manoeuvres. It was so nice to find an instructor that you could have a giggle with as well. I can’t thank him enough for helping me pass!

I can’t recommend Karen and Independent Driving enough! I passed today first time and it is all thanks to Karen for being such an amazing instructor!
I started off as a really nervous driver but Karen made me feel calm and confident. Karen always made sure I understood what she was teaching me and was always happy to go over anything I wasn’t sure about.
I would highly recommended Karen to anyone and will really miss our lessons together! Thank you!!!

Enjoyed my driving lessons with Adam at Independent Driving. He improved my confidence on decision making at areas such as roundabouts and this allowed me to drive much more freely and in a safe, relaxed manner. I passed my manual test first time with 3 minors and am grateful for the freedom driving skills have given me!

I passed first time with my driving instructor, Adam. He was very patient and constructive with his feedback. I felt prepared for my test as he continued to build my confidence on the roads.
He had good communication throughout and was always reliable.

Well I'm glad that I had my lessons with Adam from independent driving school considering I was meant to go automatic but ended up doing manual and never looked back since and he made the lessons enjoyable and he was easy to get along with and he made the instructions easy and clear to understand and do and I would recommend him to anyone wanting someone to have lessons with and now I've passed if he wasn't my instructor I don't know if I would of passed so easily
