You do not need to have passed your theory before you start learning to drive, however, You are required to pass a theory test before you are able to book a practical test.
This theory test is split into two parts.
Theory questions - in 57 minutes you are required to answer correctly 43 out of 50 questions in a multiple-choice format.
Hazard perception -The test consists of 14 video clips, each lasting about one minute.
The clips feature various types of hazards that you could face as a driver on the road, such as other vehicles, pedestrians and road conditions.
