Records are kept along with written notes which may be given out to pupils to help advise them of future areas for improvement.
Believe it or not there are many driving instructors out there who are not fully qualified to teach you how to learn to drive!

Theory Test

All pupils who reside in the North Down Area will sit their Theory Test in Great Victoria Street, Belfast.
The test is split into two parts.
The first is a multiple choice question section where you must achieve a score of 43 out of 50.
The second part is the hazard perception test which requires a pass score of at 44 out of 75.
Both have to be passed to obtain the Theory Certificate.
We strongly recommend you study the books which the questions are taken from:-The Highway Code, Know your Traffic Signs, and the official DSA Theory Test Book and CD Rom for Theory and Hazard perception test.

Independent Driving To Uk Driving Test In Northern Ireland

In this part of your test, you drive for approximately ten minutes without step-by-step direction from your Examiner.
You will asked to be either follow a series of directions, following traffic signs or both.
To help you understand where you are going, your examiner will show you a diagram.
It doesn't matter if you don't remember every direction, or if you go the wrong way, that can happen to the most experienced drivers.
It is not a test of orientation or navigation skills, it is about making your own decisions, which includes deciding when it is safe.
